Skill Education

Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) offer skill education to develop skills and prepare students for future careers:
Pre-vocational education
KVs offer pre-vocational education that prepares students for future vocational or career-oriented training.
Skill hubs
Some KVs have skill hubs that offer skilling to out-of-school or out-of-education youth after school hours.
Skill courses
KVs offer skill courses in a variety of areas, including IT-ITES, healthcare, beauty and wellness, agriculture, sports, media and entertainment, and apparel.
Artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence is a vocational subject introduced in all KVs from Class VIII.
Experiential learning
Some KVs use experiential learning through work experience to develop transferable skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration.
